| Dale's
art studio is bordered on two sides with railing and an open
stairway. There
are three work areas in the loft studio. |
 |
The
drawing table for works on paper, the easel for larger paintings,
and the comfortable chair for mixed media on hard board.
The
loft overlooks the dining room, kitchen area, and the roofs
of an inside outhouse, study, pantry and closet. "I designed
it to feel like you are outside, yet inside." The many skylights
complete the impression."I
have earphones for music or TV and night time silence. I'm happy
... and thankful to be able to create art in such an inspiring
space." |
| Dale
and Tracey Marx live in a converted diaper laundry warehouse.
It
is now a unique and beautiful living space. Incorporated
in Dale's design are indoor roofs, open stairways, old porch
posts, chalk board floors, and an open spacious feeling with
timbered ceiling and exposed brick walls. Many
materials such as detailed posts and railings, fir flooring,
beaded siding, and fluted trim were recycled from other structures
and included to create a fascinating eclectic, yet harmonious,
design. |
