Soft Pastels

My pastel landscapes tend to have a soft look accentuated with bold strokes of color. The larger pieces were a part of a series that also include some of the same size farmscape pastels. The series reflected thoughts about nature, land, and farming.


I enjoy doing the smaller horizontal landscapes like "Misty Pass". Over the years I have done many of these that depict an atmospheric mountain scene. They are created out of memories of many miles of backpacking - feeling the land, season, and weather, and wondering what is over the horizon.

Artwork that is 40"x30" and larger is noted as oversized. A shipping fee will be charged.
